Your business runs on systems that grew by workaround.

Custom business systems are the internal tools a business runs on, connected to the software you already use: portals, quoting tools, trackers, and workflow apps.

We inspect the system you already have, understand why the business works that way, then decide what actually needs to be built, connected, or left alone.

What you're probably running on

  • Spreadsheets doing a system's job, kept alive by the one person who understands them.
  • Programs that do not talk to each other, so the same order gets typed twice.
  • An internal tool someone built years ago that nobody wants to touch.
  • Handoffs by email, phone, or sticky note, with no record of where a job stands.
  • Workarounds everyone follows and nobody wrote down.

None of that is a mistake. Each one was a reasonable answer to a real problem at the time.

Before anything gets replaced, we find out why it's there

A workaround usually exists because the business needed something the software could not do. So before deciding anything, we look at:

The rule behind the workaround.
The pricing exception, approval step, or customer habit that made someone build it in the first place.
What the current system does well.
The parts your team relies on and would miss, even if the rest is painful.
What depends on it.
The reports, people, and other software that read from it or feed it.
What your team has adapted around.
The shortcuts staff use to get through the day, which show where it actually hurts.
What cannot simply be ripped out.
History you need to keep, and connections a customer or supplier relies on.
What the real need is.
Replacement, a connection between what you have, a cleanup, or a new tool beside the old one.

What comes out of that, when something does need building

These are possible results of that inspection, not where we start. Each one is the right answer in a specific case.

A connection, with the current system kept.
When what you run works and the problem is the retyping between it and everything else.
A quoting or RFQ tool.
When pricing lives in one person's head or a spreadsheet full of exceptions, and every quote is rebuilt from scratch.
A portal for customers or suppliers.
When people outside the business keep calling or emailing for something they could look up themselves.
A tracker or dashboard.
When the only way to know where a job stands is to ask the person working on it.
A workflow app for one job.
When approvals, intake, or returns need something the current system was never built to do, and it sits beside the old one.
A replacement.
When the current system is itself the bottleneck and keeping it costs more than moving off it.

Sometimes the inspection says to clean up what you have, or to leave it alone. Both are findings too.

What it changed

Plastic-Craft Products

Amazon returns were losing money because claims lacked evidence.

26% to 95%

A guided returns portal took claim success from 26% to 95%.

Alpine Medical

The system had to handle practitioner applications, credential verification, and organizational matching, with controlled access throughout.

One platform for practitioners, healthcare organizations, and admins, with credential verification, an access-controlled admin portal, and expense, tax, and milestone tools.

Plastic-Craft Products

Plastic-Craft wanted to sell on Amazon, eBay, and Walmart, but its custom-built inventory system had logic that could not be disrupted.

Custom code built around the existing inventory flow, so marketplace listings update through a custom API the same way the team manages everything else.

Open them. Some are interactive, and others show a worked interface or workflow.

How we build it

  1. We look before we build

On site, with the people who use the current system, before anything is replaced or connected.

  2. We build or connect what earns it

Whatever the inspection points to: a connection, a cleanup, a new tool, or nothing at all.

  3. You own it

Documented, so you know how it works, who owns it, and what to do if it stops. No black box, no lock-in.
