Accessibility

AliNQuality builds digital systems where accessibility is the baseline, not a polish pass. This site, and the work we ship for clients, targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, with AAA-level improvements where they cost nothing.

Standards we follow

The site targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA across perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust criteria. Color contrast is checked against 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text. Headings follow a single logical outline. Interactive elements have visible focus states and accessible names.

Adjustable preferences on this site

The accessibility panel (reachable from the floating action button in the bottom-right corner, or by opening the panel directly) lets you tune three settings, and remembers them between visits:

  • Text sizeThree steps (14px / 16px / 18px) that scale the root font size across the entire site for easier reading.
  • High contrastDarkens secondary and muted text and strengthens borders so contrast approaches WCAG AAA (7:1).
  • Reduced motionCollapses animation and transition durations across the site. The system prefers-reduced-motion setting is also honored automatically.

What's built in

  • Full keyboard navigation across every interactive surface, including a visible skip-to-main link.
  • Visible focus rings on all focusable elements, with focus traps in modals and slide-overs.
  • ARIA-current on active navigation, aria-controls on collapsible regions, and proper roles on dialogs, status messages, and toggles.
  • Semantic HTML (landmarks, heading hierarchy, lists for lists, buttons for buttons), so screen readers can navigate predictably.
  • Color contrast tested against WCAG AA (4.5:1 normal, 3:1 large) on every interactive token.
  • Form fields with associated labels, aria-invalid for error states, and aria-describedby pointing at the actual error text.
  • Touch targets at or above the WCAG 2.5.5 minimum of 24×24px, with most exceeding 44×44px for comfortable mobile use.
