Calls Were Being Missed When Staff Was Unavailable
For an appliance repair company, a missed phone call can easily become a missed customer.
Renah Appliance Repair already had staff answering calls during normal business hours, so the goal was not to replace the existing process. The problem was what happened after hours or when the team was already busy and could not pick up.
Customers calling about a broken refrigerator, washer, dryer, or other appliance are often looking for help immediately. If nobody answers, there is a good chance they simply call the next company.
Renah needed a way to provide another layer of coverage without changing how its staff normally worked.
A Generic Answering Service Was Not Enough
The assistant also needed to understand Renah specifically.
AliNQuality had already worked closely with Renah on its website and digital systems, giving us a strong understanding of the company's services, service areas, warranty work, scheduling process, and the questions customers commonly ask.
We were also able to learn directly from conversations with Renah's technicians and staff.
That gave us a much better starting point than handing a generic answering service a short script and expecting it to represent the company correctly.
The goal was to give customers a useful answer when Renah's staff could not get to the phone, while keeping the existing staff as the first line of communication.
Creating a System That Could Improve Over Time
The project was also designed to be monitored and improved.
Phone conversations create useful information about what customers are asking, where calls are coming from, and where the assistant may need additional training.
Instead of treating the voice assistant as something that was simply switched on and forgotten, Renah needed a system that could continue learning from real business situations.
The Solution
What we built
Adding an Intelligent Fallback to Renah's Existing Phone Line
AliNQuality built an AI voice assistant that works alongside Renah's staff rather than in place of them.
During normal operations, Renah's team continues answering calls as usual.
The assistant only steps in when:
- A call comes in after business hours
- Staff members are unavailable
- A call rings without being answered
This created a clean fallback system without disrupting the way Renah already handles its customers.
Training the Assistant Around the Real Business
Rather than starting with a generic appliance repair script, we built the assistant around information specific to Renah.
The training included knowledge from:
- Renah's website
- Services offered
- Service areas
- Appliance types and brands
- Warranty information
- Common customer questions
- Business policies
- Conversations with Renah's staff and technicians
Because AliNQuality had already worked on Renah's website and other digital systems, we were able to connect information we already understood about the business with what the voice assistant needed to know.
This made the conversations much more useful than simply saying, "Someone will call you back."
Turning an Unanswered Call Into a Useful Conversation
When the assistant answers, it can speak with the caller, understand why they are contacting Renah, collect relevant information, and help move the conversation toward the appropriate next step.
That gives Renah useful information even when a staff member was not available at the moment the customer called.
For the customer, it means reaching Renah does not immediately end at voicemail.
For the staff, it means coming back to a call with more context about what the customer actually needs.
The assistant acts as a second line of coverage, while Renah's staff remains the primary point of contact.
Monitoring and Improving the System
The system was also built with continued monitoring in mind.
AliNQuality can review how the assistant is being used, identify questions it may not be handling well, and improve its knowledge as Renah's business changes.
New services, policies, locations, common questions, or technician feedback can be incorporated into the system over time.
That turns the phone assistant into an ongoing part of Renah's automation and integration rather than a one-time phone bot.
Recovering Opportunities That Would Otherwise Be Missed
Since being introduced, the voice assistant has helped generate 18 new technician calls from conversations that reached the system.
Those are opportunities that may otherwise have ended with an unanswered call or voicemail.
The value of the system is not that AI answers every call.
The value is that when Renah's staff cannot answer, the business can still respond.
The Results
What was delivered
- Training
- Built around Renah's actual website, services, technicians, and customer questions
- Monitoring

- Call Coverage
- After-hours and unanswered calls receive a response
- Staff Workflow
- Staff remains the first line while AI handles overflow
- Customer Experience
